Martin St. Louis is taking up $5.25 million of cap space for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nikita Alexeev makes $450,000 this season. Perhaps that's the reason St. Louis is averaging over 25 minutes of ice time per game six games into the season, despite the fact that he has just one point.

Meanwhile, Alexeev is barely playing 10 minutes per game, yet has four points. The 6-6 Russian giant had a strong training camp until he was derailed for a few days with an eye injury. The 24-year-old has fully recovered, and has now tallied points in three straight contests.

For the record, St. Louis has played over 153 minutes so far this season, to Alexeev's 62.
