No Olympics, but at least he's out of press box
By Mark Zwolinski
Sergei Berezin was back in one lineup yesterday and out of another.
At about the same time Berezin was confirmed for the Leafs roster for tonight's game at the Gardens against Anaheim, it was learned he will be left off the Russian Olympic squad.
Neither Berezin nor fellow Leaf Igor Korolev was included on the Russian team that was rounded out yesterday.
Instead, Berezin settled for an end to his two-game stint in the press box.
``I'm happy to be back,'' Berezin said after the Leafs practised yesterday. ``All I can do is work hard, do my job.''
Berezin has shown plenty of offensive flash and is third in goals (6) to Korolev (8) and Mats Sundin (7).
But the two-game sit was his second inactive stint of the season and underlined his recurring inconsistencies with playing a two-way game.
``He wasn't punished for anything . . . other than working hard every night and playing, especially in your own end,'' Leafs coach Mike Murphy said.

The Leafs defenceman, who directs the unit along with Sundin, is being closely watched for the effects of a concussion and 25-stitch cut he took from a wild stick swing by Vancouver's Dave Scatchard.
He'll miss tonight's game and is questionable for Thursday's road game in St. Louis because of the residual effects of the blow.
Dimitri Yushkevich will team with Sundin on the power-play point in Schneider's absence.
With Sundin on the point, Murphy paired Berezin with centre Steve Sullivan in hopes the two can create some offensive spark and sharpen the power play. But he's also looking for his other lines to jump at the opportunity to make the power play work.
``We have to change our power play,'' Murphy said. ``We'll move Yushkevich up with Sundin, and we'll have Per Gustafsson and Yannick Tremblay on the last part of the power play, too.
``This also gives the opportunity to the other players to expand their
