Minnesota Wild happy to see Bryzgalov rebound from tough start
9 марта 2014 года. Graff, Chad. Saint Paul Pioneer Press

Eighteen minutes into his Wild debut, Ilya Bryzgalov had seen three shots. Two had beaten him.

But after a shaky start, Bryzgalov stopped the St. Louis Blues' final 19 shots before being beaten by TJ Oshie and Alexander Steen in the shootout as the Wild fell to the Blues Sunday, 3-2.

"Those were good goals," Bryzgalov said of the first two that got behind him. "Obviously, you're nervous because you're playing for a new team and a little bit nervous because of the new crowd. First time for the team in front of them is a special game."

Bryzgalov will likely return to his new role with his new team as the backup to Darcy Kuemper when the Wild take on the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday at Xcel Energy Center.

After sending a fourth-round pick to Edmonton for Bryzgalov, the Wild were happy to see him become more comfortable as the game wore on.

"He got better," coach Mike Yeo said. "I thought he was settling things down and grabbing the puck. He didn't need to be exceptional, but I thought he got better as the game went on."
