Q.You had a great offensive season down in Cincinnati (AHL), scoring 28 goals, after being viewed mostly as a checker. How do you explain your offensive success? 
A.I was able to get much playing time, and they used me in a lot of different situations, like the power play. I worked hard, and was able to get a few goals. It helped my confidence. 

Q.Was it disappointing to be sent down earlier in the season? 
A.Sure, you want to play in this league (NHL), but I went down to Cincinnati and worked as hard as I could. That league is a different league, but I got the chance to play a lot of hockey. It helped me. 

Q.What do you think about your current role on a line with Igor Larionov and Vyacheslav Kozlov? 
A.I have to forecheck hard, work hard, and do the job I'm expected to do. Those are two great players. 

Q.It has to be satisfying to be playing in the NHL this time of year, with the playoffs coming around the corner. 
A.This is the league with the best hockey players in the world. You want to play with, and against, the best. It is exciting to be here. This is where any player wants to stay.
