Hey everyone, 

I know it’s been a while since I’ve written a journal. As you all know, I took a bad fall. So, I’ve been laying pretty low, and not because I’m not interested, but because I’m trying to recover and do exactly what my trainers and doctors are telling me. I got slu footed by a guy on the Edmonton Oilers and I hit my head hard on the ice. Someone behind me knocked my feet forward, and I had no control of my fall. I didn’t lose consciousness, but I got pretty foggy and had to be carried out of the game. Today has been a pretty good day. I’ve been really sick to my stomach and been pretty dizzy lately. But today was much better. I skated a little bit and didn’t feel nauseous for the first time since my injury. Hopefully I’m on the path to recovery. I’m not sure when I’ll play again, but I’m pretty sure Wednesday will be too soon. I’m not taking any medicine, but I’m resting a lot and taking walks outside to get some fresh air. I have to be very smart about my return because this is not my first concussion. Quite a few players have had to retire because they’ve returned too quickly from an injury, and I have to worry about my life after hockey. So, I’ve just been resting. I finally drove again and I’m happy about that. I missed my car! I hadn’t driven my car, which is probably safe for me and everyone else on the road! 

I’ll be sure to write you all once I’m back playing again. Thank you all for thinking of me during this injury.
