Former Penguins left wing Ruslan Fedotenko is enjoying a minor resurgence in his first year with the Rangers. Fedotenko, who scored seven postseason goals while helping the Penguins claim the 2009 Stanley Cup championship, saw his production decline last season. The Penguins did not offer the 10-year veteran a contract following the 2009-10 season, which saw Fedotenko manage only 11 goals despite playing primarily with center Evgeni Malkin. Fedotenko rededicated himself to working out this summer and entered Monday's game against the Rangers with three goals and six assists.

Fedotenko walked to the Penguins' bench during the morning skate to exchange pleasantries with coach Dan Bylsma and many of his former teammates.
