Slava Kozlov's goal Thursday night gave him 37 career playoff goals in 101 career playoff games. 

"It's emotion," Kozlov said. "You know what this is about. It's about Stanley Cup. We've won two Stanley Cups, and we're still hungry. We lost second round last year, so we want to play good this year. That was embarrassing. 

"I try to do my best every game, but for some reason, sometimes you play good, sometimes you can't score. I feel pretty comfortable right now, especially having scored a goal in the first game. I'll try to continue to do this." 

Kozlov's secret is simple. 

"I just shoot the puck and hope it's going to go in," said Kozlov, who scored when his shot deflected off a player in front. "We're in the playoffs, so people score lots of goals from behind the net, when the puck hits a skate or something. The goalie sometimes can make mistakes because it's the playoffs, and they're nervous. Whatever works. I'll take it."
