He’d made a fatal error at crunch time of the last game, but Jets defenceman Dmitry Kulikov accepted an invitation to take some questions, Thursday.

Not every player would after their soft check allowed a late, game-winning goal.

“It was a tough one,” Kulikov acknowledged of Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Minnesota. “But you’ve got to get over it. Don’t lose your confidence. Over the course of a year, sometimes you get bad bounces. We went over it, and it’s all good.”

Kulikov says hosting Nashville Friday is a perfect opportunity for the struggling Jets to get back on track.

“Everyone in this locker-room is feeling good about this,” he said. “We’ve had some good games against that team, and it’s going to bring out the best in every single one of us.

“It’s going to turn around for us, because we have too good of a team not to.”

The Jets won’t dress an extra defenceman on Friday, as newly-acquired Bogdan Kiselevich has come down with an illness.
