Семина ждет операция на запястье. 14.04.2014. Sibnovosti: Российский нападающий «Каролины», воспитанник красноярской школы хоккея Александр Семин не будет играть за сборную России на ближайшем чемпионате мира, который стартует 9 мая в Белоруссии. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба краевого Минспорта со ссылкой на зарубежные СМИ. Причина заключается в том, что Семину в ближайшее время прооперируют запястье, травма которого беспокоила хоккеиста весь последний сезон, – цитирует заявление генерального менеджера «Каролины» Джима Рутерфорда Newsobserver . Отметим, что в текущем сезоне Семин набрал в 65 матчах регулярного чемпионата НХЛ 42 очка – 22 гола + 20 передач. Главный тренер национальной команды по хоккею Олег Знарок вызвал в сборную партнера Семина по команде – форварда Андрея Локтионова. Alexander Semin was playing with a wrist injury for most of the season and will now have surgery. Throughout the season, Semin had problems with his shot, missing the net more often than usual, which affected his shooting percentage. However, it didn’t slow him down that much as he scored on some beautiful wrist shots and finished with 22 goals. Hopefully this means for the Canes and Semin, that the Russian will come back next season more prepared than every with plenty of time to rest the wrist that was bothering him. It should also mean a more healthy, productive 2014-15 season. The surgery means Semin will miss playing for Russia at the World Championships in early May. ************ Semin may not be able to play for Russia, but it seems at least one Hurricane is on the nation’s mind, as Dmitry Chesnokov reported that Andrei Loktionov has received an invitation to play for the team in the tournament: https://twitter.com/dchesnokov/status/455692497881006080 I believe this is a deserved nomination, and while it has not been reported that Loktionov accepted or not, I would be surprised if he doesn’t. One player that hasn’t received an invite yet is Anton Khudobin, which is surprising in some sense. Russia tends to go to KHL players, but Khudobin showed this year, he can carry a team. There’s plenty of time left for an invite, so Khudobin may still be an option. |
